Default my Passenger Side Mirror fell out (internal mirror; not whole assembly) -

Has this ever happened to anyone? The mirror stayed intact because of the two leads that heat the mirror (I think) - Not sure I should try to re-attach it.....
Buffed out a few rub marks......

Same thing happened to me. It happened on an 87 944 n/a I used to have, not a CGT . I was driving real slow through a parking lot, and it just came off and shattered. I had a piece cut to factory spec and glued it back.

Pretty odd!

Never happened to me nor have I even heard of such a thing on a CGT.

I heard they have to ship it back to Leipzig and split the tub to replace the mirror.

Anything can happen. Get it fixed and move on.

More perplexed than anything else - they are held in by two retainer type clips and not much more - Oh well. Hope it stays on!
