Ray @ RPM Sportscar came up huge for me this past week with a CGT. i had been looking at many great examples that rennlisters and 6speeders had offered up. there were a host of great options. frankly, any and all options when you’re dealing with CGT are top notch. but given the prices being fairly well escalated to begin with, my thought was to go low miles, that way if i drove it a bit over the next few years, i'd have all my fun and when done, it would still be in the top tier of low mile cars. i also wanted a black. that car in black is incredible. found a perfect 600 miles blk blk. he circled around, wen tto some untapped sources and gave me 2, 3 examples of low milers various colors.
he went, checked the car out. sent me photos. told me what he thought (it was perfect, umblemsihed 'lets get this car and get it out of here now!). he wrote the check to the guy, flat bedded to his warehouse, personally puts it on the intercity hauler. called me many times to give me updates and status.
so i'm really really excited for the CGT. that car is intense. will it go up in value, down in value? no idea. i'm fully prepared to lose some money on it, hopefully i dont get fully burned. it woul be nice if it went up, just so it doesnt go down!<G> but mainly, i'm really excited because that CGT just is a beast of all beasts.
sorry if this sounds lik ea "RPM commercial". i look at it this way. ... we smash and trash and hammer dealers that screw us buyers, cheat us, market up over MSRP, lie, misrepresent. i've been f'd so many times on these RS deals and in hunting myself for a few CS' and a CGT. so i am not adverse to rippin gup a dealer that acts like a cheat.....well, thats fine and they deserve it. but then i also think that honest and good business guys like Mike@ Truspeed and Ray @ RPM etc. also get a little love.
summary: CGT in the house. gonna be awsome. super excited. didnt tell wife the figure. that would be just trouble, super car all you want, how in the world can you spend that on a car when you cant remember our anniversary.

Congratulations! Enjoy it in best health!
Is it already within the Carrera GT Registry (www.CarreraGTRegistry.de.vu)? If not: would you like to be added?

oh now I know why you sold your gt3rs's haha. I'd love to own a CGT. I saw a guy in dallas on the phone the other day while driving his with paper tags- I'd imagine the thrill of ownership is extremely high with that car

gracias!
fyi, a bit off topic, but isnt it amazing how empowering the internet is? i mean, beyond hunting for cars and learning about them on amazing sites like RL, how about stuff like getting the weather?
who would have thunk 15 years ago i'd be getting a thank you from a dude in spain on cgt i bot from a guy i've never met personally but have emailed countlessly having bot about 12 cars from in 2 years....all based on the internet.
my TRS80 was underutilized back in the day!
