Default Serious Tuning for the CGT

I was commenting to one of the owners of RS Tuning in Germany how I easily out accelerated a friend's CGT in my tuned 993tt and (sniffing a potential customer) he said he would send me details of their engine tuning which would redress the anomaly.
He assured me these kits would put the CGT completely out of reach.
OFFER CARRERA GT

here is the offer for the Carrera GT.

Original engien datas:
Poweroutput:450KW/612HP at 8000rpm
Torque:590 NM at 5750rpm

1.) RS-TUNING 690HP-ENGINE MODIFICATION

Poweroutput:507KW/690HP at 8100rpm
Torque: 648NM at 5750rpm

-new exhaust manifolds left/right
-new 100cells catconvertes in the original housing
-RS-TUNING sportexhaussystem with sound valves in exchange
-Switch quiet/sound
-new airfilters
-nwe ECU with RS-Tuning programming
-Ignition and injection programming
-Installation

Modification time: 4-5weeks

Topspeed is higher then 355km/h!!!

or

1a.) RS-TUNING 730HP-ENGINE MODIFICATION

Poweroutput:536KW/730HP at 8000rpm
Torque: 679NM at 5700rpm
-6.0ltr crankcase modification
-in/ex cams in exchange
-new piston 6.0
-new exhaust manifolds left/right
-new 100cells catconvertes in the original housing
-RS-TUNING sportexhaussystem with sound valves in exchange
-Switch quiet/sound
-new airfilters
-nwe ECU with RS-Tuning 6.0 programming
-Ignition and injection 6.0 programming
-Installation

Modification time: 11-12weeks

Topspeed is higher then 360km/h!!!

2.) LOWERING KIT
We keep the original springs in the car!
Front: -15mm
Rear: -15mm

Modification time: 1 week

This is obviously a bit impractical (but not impossible) for owners in the US but quite fascinating.
Apparently with the 6.0 litre kit when they check the block they have found that there can be flaws which neccessitate a new block @ 40K Euro which has to be explained to the customer before they commence work.
BTW as of next week 0.6% of total production of CGTs will be running with one of the above RS engine conversions !

That's interesting... it still wouldn't beat a Ferrari F40 LM though

690 kit seems more logical (if you can use logic when
addressing this car ?)

TB take a swipe at that modded CGT and let us know the results.

I almost snorted Diet Pepsi through my nose when I read about the lowering kit.

Clos De what? What the hell is that?????

Doesn't sound like something Steve McQueen would be drinking??? Can you imagine in the Movie Le Mans the team owner comes up to McQueen and says "get in the car we need you!" And Steve says just as soon as I finish my Clos De Vought..... I don't think so????

Anyway the CGT is a true slug and needs a lot more HP and sits to way too high which is probably why Jay Leno spun it out on the straightaway. Glad to see that finally a tuner is going to solve these glaring problems found on stock CGTs.

Mike,
That is why every botle of burgundy should come with computerized anti-choking assist devices. We don't want to lose you secondary to aspiration of fermented grapes, no matter how old the vines. All Chambertins come with such aids. AS

Alex! You are inciting Nick. Next thing you know, Chateau Margaux will be accused of negligence for not supplying computerized anti choking devices.

More importantly, have their power claims been verified at all?
