I saw his 996 turbo up for sale not too long ago in the Dupont registry. I don't remember how many miles it had, but I bet it wasn't much. It was priced alittle higher than similar turbos, but not as much of a increase as what the CGT is priced at. Its kind of crazy what some of these celebrity cars sell for. The celebs could make a living off just buying exotic cars and selling them at inflated prices. Not that selling these cars at above market value prices will make or break someone like Tiger though.

I can understand an inflated price if the owner was a prominent figure in racing but golf???? I am suprised he didn't give it to his caddy who is much more into the sport.
BTW, Dminn I read your post regarding selling your CGT. The reasons you give for doing so make a lot of sense. Also, though I have not driven the M6, based on the reviews you are going to get one hell of a car which will be a "hoot" to drive. Enjoy!

Yep, his 996 only had a few thousand miles on it. It was a bargain at around $95K
What a shame. I suppose he doesn't drive much... while not on the golf course.

Come on guys, the reason Tiger is selling the CGT is he doesn't have enough time to drive his BUICK anymore! That is strange how he couldn't get used to the clutch, I haven't driven one but I wish he had given it more then 200 miles! What did he do, drive it around the block once and gave up?

I have an idea. Tell Tiger you'll play him a round of 18 holes, double or nothing. Then get 2 rich guys willing to pay $500K to play 18 holes with Tiger. At the end of the day you collect $1M from the rich guys, hand it over to Tiger (yes I think he would beat me) and you walk away with a CGT....

Bob,
I can't afford the $500K, but maybe I can get you to spot me the money and I will join you guys for a little 18 hole action. What do you say? I can beat Tiger! I kick his butt all the time in the video game, I'll even bring the beer!

I once dreamed a dream, but now that dream is gone...
While we may disagree on several points about the CGT, I will say that if a clutchless version were available, I probably would have opted for it rather than the manual. Not being heel-and-toe'er, I could get around a track faster with the paddles, most likely, than with my ham-fisted attempts at heel-and-toe'ing.
Still it was fun while it lasted. I still haven't fully decided on getting the M6, but thought it'd be best to reserve my place in line.
