So were they trying to charge you for 80L of transmission oil and hoping you wouldn’t notice?
I’m wary of this sort of thing from the stealerships. I mean, if your bill is $20-30k who’s gonna know right?

Ferrari 612 brakes - dealer bought from Subaru dealer exact same but 1/5 the price and charged me for Ferrari.
Dealer stapled Subaru receipt to my bill that I filed months later - too late but switched dealers.

Yes - likely goes for filters and items where dealer charges CGT Factory items than goes to Auto Zone or orders under other models.

we all want to make a buck, and it is that drive that led us to success to buy one of these toys.
but extortion is something else. if they want to mark it up a bit, sure. I get it.
but enough is enough

Agree we all simply want to be treated fair and when we don't we simply spend our money where it's appreciated.

There needs to be transparency in all this.
On the one hand, I'm sympathetic that vendors are businesses not charities. They need to make a margin to retain their good people and reward their stakeholders.
But there is no humor for those trying to make that margin below-the-board. If there's a deliberate misquote or a blatant switch-a-roo I'd report that direct to national level Porsche organization. In my region of the world, dealers are subject to annual audits and ethical issues get VERY SEVERELY penalized.
To make 10%+ gross margin on new vehicle sales and higher on aftersales is fair compensation for proper conduct. In any case, ethical business conduct shouldn't need justification in the first place!!!
