I read somewhere that the carbon fiber on 05/06 cars is much less prone to yellowing due to UV radiation.

Can anybody confirm that?

Yes - wouldn't knock an 04 but every model improves in year 2 vs 1.

2004 V 2005: clutch is the same- at the time they reprogrammed the ECU to have an anti-stall feature. This was done in 2005 and 2006 to all cars. This is no longer an issue.

All carbon yellows due to their choice in gloss clear coat. 2004 V 2005 no difference.

Biggest issues that nobody talks about:

Replace tires every 2-3 years.
Allow car to fully warm up before driving it.

If you fire up the car and drive it right away that can produce additional wear for the clutch/ synchros.

4 car rule, hilarious. Guess I broke that one a while back.

Most important rule given in this thread is to change the tires religiously whether you think it needs it or not. I'm a retired film producer, Paul Walker was my friend and we worked on a movie together. Lots of factors there but change the freaking tires please.
