Edit your signature. Top left of page, click USER CP, then within that menu to the left click on SIGNATURE then fill out whatever you want.

All carbon yellows due to their choice in gloss clear coat. 2004 V 2005 no difference.

Biggest issues that nobody talks about:

Replace tires every 2-3 years.
Allow car to fully warm up before driving it.

If you fire up the car and drive it right away that can produce additional wear for the clutch/ synchros.
Pilot Super Sports are SO MUCH better than the original Pilot Sports and work at lower temperatures, too.

^ And I bet the Cup2s will make this car even more of an enjoyable drive. Problem though is, with low mile cars that see more time in storage than being driven, I wager that the MPSS will stay "fresh" longer than the soft-compound Cup2...

Do they make the new pilot sport 4S in these sizes? I've heard reviews of improvement to the MPSS....

... but no first hand knowledge. They don't make them in 16's!

I try to let it get up to full operating temps. Pull it out of the garage and let it warm up while I'm removing and storing the tops. Doesn't take long.

I'm still too chicken crap to take the roof panels off..something is wrong with me!

I've driven the damned thing all of 2 times.

I need to have my head examined.

Allow me to provide you with a 6 step program free of charge:

1. Thoroughly clean chicken crap off yourself before getting in car, start and warm up properly
2. Take roof panels off and leave windows down. DO NOT try to put panels in front trunk as this is ONLY for more advanced patients. Leave in garage instead.
3. Drive to nearest tunnel
4. Enter said tunnel in second gear at around 3,000 rpm
5. Gradually accelerate WOT to (near) redline and through third if possible
6. Repeat as needed and as often as possible

Congratulations - you've just had a life-changing experience and you also just heard the greatest sound in all of auto-dom! You're cured!!

I think the manual states to not warm it up. To drive off as soon as possible.

I do not warm up the CGT. However, I don't rev up the motor until the car is above 170 degrees (short shift - very short for the first few minutes). I also often start in 2nd gear, or shift very gently from 1st to 2nd at low RPM's until the car is warm.

I have done that on occasion but don't advise even moving the car until the engine oil is warm and the clutch is warm

Shifting first to third is easiest when cold. Leaving the line in second is not a good idea.
