One thing to consider is warranty. I might be mistaking about this, but isn't warranty covered only for the US and Canada if you bought it here? So you wouldn't be covered in Europe if you bought it here...

Oh, I'm not buying new. I'm buying a used vehicle outside of warranty. I ain't made of money like some of you all, are :P.
But correct, NA warranties are not applicable or valid outside of NA.

Just saw on the Macan Forum that a lady was charged $3,007.00 for her 40k service for her 2015 Macan S in Arlington, VA! "The labor was $1,637.50 (hourly rate of $163.75) and the parts were the balance of $1,202." Plus $89 for shop supplies and tax. Amazing!

No, it does not. Just maintain detailed records and keep receipts for the supplies that you buy (oil change kit, oil, spark plugs) and keep a log of what you've done. If all the maintenance can be substantiated, then they can't legally deny you the warranty coverage (according the the Magnussen Moss act). Believe it or not a statement about that fact was included by the dealer with my paperwork when I picked up my Macan.

I once considered a purchase there but let's just say that the way they conducted business seemed well below the standards I've experienced from other P dealers which I've done business with. Enough said.

I did my plugs for parts cost - about $80. It took maybe an hour - and I was going real slow because I hadn't done it yet on this car. There were no difficult plugs to access and didn't even get dirty
The oil change was also very simple, you don't even have to jack the car up. I bought the 36 mm oil filter socket for about $12 from Amazon. Oil, filter, washer and socket were $100-ish. I reset the maintenance light with my POR II tool (which I already had picked up for my GT3 so I didn't count that cost (but I think it was about $250 - still cheaper than paying someone else!!!). Go ahead and give it a try yourself - YouTube if you have any doubts. I didn't even get dirty doing this one either
