Fastest qualifying slick tire?

Fastest qualifying slick tire?
I would like to ask for your opinion on what is currently fastest qualifying tire available?
One that will come in on first flying lap? I plan to compete this car http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/.../page__st__100 in time attack events which are effectively qualifying only. Car has to give maximum performance over one flying lap. Car is very heavy (1400kg) with some downforce so it kind of works its tires hard.
Many thanks
Ted

Thanks for input. I already saw similar opinion when I did some searching on the forum. Still I find of kind of hard to believe... I would think that soft slick compounds like mich 7's, Dunlop mc22 etc. should be faster? Those grooves don't help I assume.
Still I would love to hear as many educated comments as possible!
Thanks

You will really have to try for yourself since this is not the best source of knowledge for your platform. But my guess will be a medium or soft compound slick from either Mich (a Nismo development partner) or Pirelli. Your pic looks like Spa but i'm not sure--assuming it's a european climate you may get away with the softs.
A6's don't handle heat well--depending on the length of your lap it may start going off on you given the GT-R's heft. What's your kerb weight anyways?

Thanks for you input guys. Highly apreciated!
Crex - car is very heavy = 1400kg (It was 1760 as standard)
I will surely test and find the final answer which works for this car but your input helps narrow the window.
Would someone recommend (their email or web address) a good michelin slick source near NY? I will have consolidated (thas cheap) shipping from NY to Europe soon so would I would like to use this occasion.
Thanks

Looks like a very interesting car with some serious $$ thrown at it just to get it down to that weight. We run at World Time Attack Challenge (http://www.worldtimeattack.com/) in Sydney, Australia and cars from overseas come down to compete in what is regarded as the World titles for this format. (UK, Europe, USA, Japan, NZ and elsewhere) Some very fast cars get built and raced. eg lap record for Cup car at this layout is around the 1:30 - 1:31 mark iirc. Last year's WTAC winner got into the 1:24 region and this was on 295 x 18" Yokohama AO50 R spec rubber vs the Cup Car's slicks! That's the advantage you guys have in being allowed to run Slicks on your T.A. cars overseas. However, I can run slicks in our non WTAC events and would be interested in what you find works well on your car? Having said that, your car is significantly heavier than ours (1150kgs wet no driver) but I'm assuming you have a fair bit more power than us (550whp / 405wkw). What events do you compete in? Where are you located?

Yeah, but we know those are no ordinary R comps.... Not even remotely close. Faster than slicks. And those cars have 2-3 cups cars worth of development and most double the HP. More in tune with what you would see at Pikes peak. Not much street car chassis left. I don't know much about the Titan Evo specifically, but it's right up there with the rest of them.
