Bosch modas on windows 7.
Anyone have great success or problems running certain MOtorsport software on win7? I have a win xp laptop that needs replacing. Some software if I recall struggled on win 7 or maybe it was win 8.
In particular. Bosch modas for connecting to the cup car Ecus. Maybe aim? Smarty manager?

In fact, that is the config, macros and Work pages that are interesting, but not so trivial to put in a "standard" Bosch Modas. Their computing logic isn't what IT guys are user to...

I have no trouble with Windows 7 and the MSA cables..
Haven't been able to get a parallel printer adapter to work ever for the KIC cables..... much easier just to go with MSA cable. I have a KIC cable available if anyone needs it.. there are some 996 functions that can only be done with the KIC cable etc..

Modas MSA II Box
Sorry, But this sold in 10 minutes.....
My supplier has one more in stock and can not get more for a couple months. If someone else wants one, I'll get it from them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a brand new Modas MSA II box/cable. I'll sell it for $1350 shipped within US.
The Modas USB driver is here http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/conte.../html/3589.htm
PMNA gave me the software and some config files while at Sebring a couple years ago. Not sure if it is free from them today. I have some config files I can send but not sure the main file is reusable from what I have.

Recently the laptop that I use with Modas hard drive failed. Since I have the old cable it was easier for me to ghost over the Modas program and XP onto a new laptop drive.
One of the local computer repair stores aslo had a nice laptop with the required printer port and XP for $200 just in case the above did not work.
