anyone havea phone #, website hyperlink to reach metalore re their axles, or more precisely their nuts and socket tool. our RSR uses those nuts and socket tool and we need to order some more.
i cant tell if the porsche nuts and socket are compatible or if they modified the hub to some metalore piece requiring the use of the metalore socket and nuts. but figured metalore might know and be able to sell us tne nuts and socket.

The stock blacks are fine, never had an axle fail in any if my 14 different cups, ever.
Even had 17000 km in my 997 with the stock blues, they are still going strong and new owner has driven the car a lot...just repack occasionally and replace boots when you tear one.

Anyone found new black axles for 1100$ per pair?
Worldpac don't sell them, SSF want 900$ per axle....

The -16 is the latest part for the Turbo, the -13 is probably for the regular Carrera. I just checked online, and it's a lot cheaper.

Got 2 prices too. The 16 is for the GT3 street car. Price difference over here is about $20. Just wondering what the difference is between the Carrera and the GT3 one.

Ah, ok, missed that

With current prices (approx $1000 per axle) it seems cheaper to rebuild the CV joints than buy new axles ...

The problem with that is that the axle part tends to break, in various places, so the whole thing should be changed out IMO.
