Hi Rickard,

WRT down force,

What the pots can measure is movement. I have thought about installing load cells in some appropriate place to measure the actual force. That said, find someone who understands signal processing, you will probably develop a bias term which should be the actual change in ride height. I will be looking at that myself, when I get off my butt and will let you know when I figure it out.

There is Jorge Segers who is pretty close to you - the author of the page I sent out - https://sites.google.com/site/jorgesegers2/ who has done a lot with race teams and is a top notch data guy / engineer who can probably point you in the right direction.
