Default WTB 7Cup, PCA GTC4/5

997 Cup car wanted (by a Cup newbie)

Prefer one with very low hours on PMNA/Copan rebuilds.

OR discounted in order to get these done in near future.

Needs to be PCA GTC4/5 legal.

No fixed wrecks, please.

Please, no cars in need of rebuild unless priced low.

Thanks

2010s are probably going to run you 155 to 175.
the 2011s if low hours are right under 200.

the 2007 to 2009s seem to be great values. ive seen a few scraping down near the 110,120 range. lots out there . check out some of the sites like wright motorsports, and autometrics, and ngt .... there will be IMSA GT3 guys upgrading to the platinum class leaving behind really nice 07 to 09 machines.

I haven't made an official post, but my 2009 GT3 Cup is for sale @ $130k.

It was the Mercer/Flying Lizard Cup that won the 25 Hours of Thunderhill in 2009.
In it's current configuration it won the IMSA GT3 Challenge Gold class at Laguna Seca in 2011 and GTC4 at Rennsport Reunion. Since it was new it has only been touched by Jerry Woods Enterprises or Flying Lizard.

3 sets of wheels (one set bought brand new about 2 months ago and only has 1 race on them).
Spare front and rear bumper covers.
MoTeC Pro Logging upgrade.
4 new brake calipers in September, 2 races on them.
Fuel cell.
Motor refreshed by PMNA in September only has 2 races on it since then.

I was just at the shop checking out my new car that arrived last night and snapped some pictures of the 2009. I asked them to pull the wrap off so it'll be in fresh white condition for the new owner (also had them re-spray both bumper covers). You won't find a faster (legal) Gold/GTC4 car in the world.

mike, 130 for a fresh 2009 sounds even a smidge low, especially for a well developed proven winner. those things look good in their virgin colors, so snap up some more photos when you can. i know someone who is interested. it could be the ideal car for them. ill pmc you their info.

Mike,

I think the biggest difference you are seeing now is the lack of supply plus, you just won't be able to get a new car without committing to a full year of either WC, ALMS or IMSA racing.

And I am also finding that many owners are just hanging on to their cars because the newer ones are so much more expensive now.

The only reason I am even selling mine is because I have a 2012 Cup on order.

Clarke,
I have 2 2008 cup cars for sale over at TruSpeed. 1 of which has 2.8 hours on the motor and 0 hours on the gearbox. Rebuilds were done by PMNA and Brian Copan. Asking price for that one is 125,000. The other one I just got into inventory so I don't know the exact hours on it. However it has a decent amount of hours on it, around 40 on the motor and 25 on the gearbox I'm guessing. If that car interests you let me know and I will get those numbers for you. Asking price for that car will be about 105,000. That car was also only driven by one of our gentleman racers and those hours are more than gentle.
If you would like more information please contact me at sloan@sloanurryracing.com. I'm out of town right now so you wont be able to reach me at the shop.
Thanks,
Sloan Urry
