Gentlemen, again please read James post of my response to him regarding fuel cells and Pirelli Drivers Cup racing series.
Fuel cells are strongly recommended for your safety; but NOT mandatory.
2000-2011 Porsche 996/997 GT3 Cup cars run "as delivered"; except when noted on our specification matrix located on our website. www.competentms.com Thank you.

Just put in my registration for Fontana. Anyone else from the forum going?

It'll only be my second time taking the 997 Cup out and the first time at that track, but should be fun and a good learning experience!

It's a great series with a great group of racers of all types - from 16 year olds that will smoke you while they are learning (Madison Snow) to experienced drivers that will smoke you while cruising (Doug Baron). You get a lot of drivers so there is always someone to race with that is at your level. It's a lot of fun and everyone is very open to sharing their "best practices" and helping us "learning" drivers go faster!

Greg does a great job with the series and James does a lot to help promote the series along with Craig Stanton and several others.

Great people, great tracks, great time, great racing. Do it - you won't regret it.

I'll be back also! Just swamped with work right now and traveling a ton!

+1.

Great series with great racers and support. At Laguna, GMG had a gang of cars there. I wish I could run with them full time. Someday...

That was a fun race to watch at thill today. Truspeed's 20 y.o. golden boy spun on the first lap off pole position and managed to work his way back through most of the field for 3rd place. All without a front splitter. Congrats.

Mark - some nice passes into 14.

He's the 4th generation of Porsche racers. I raced against his great grandfather in his 700 HP 930. Jeez I'm going to need another drink just thinking about that....

The second to last photo w/ the cars leaving the pre-grid for sundays race and the dark clouds in the background is an awesome picture. Can you send me the full-rez version of it?

Definately a fun weekend at TH. P Cup is a highly competitive group of well driven cars. I have been out of my car for 9 months and the rust really showed. I had my personal best lap at TH (my 2nd visit) in Sat. a.m. pracitice (1:56) and was 16 th on the grid of 19. In qualifying I stepped it up to a 1:53.5 and dropped to 17th! Looks like I need more seat time and some coaching!

Regardless had a great time running on Friday and Saturday. Like to thank Greg, Kevin, Jim and Chris from PCup along with the tire guys for supporting us all weekend. They make it fun and easy for us to go out and play!
