Unless I'm mistaken, that car is the 2004 RSR originally driven by Pat Long and Cort Wagner in ALMS. The car was run by TRG, wearing New Century Mortgage livery, prior to being sold to an overseas team.

I wasn't trying to correct you. Just wanted to share some history on the car. I looked at buying that car 2 years ago, but the value proposition with my car was much more favorable.

Here's what it looked like then.

All good no worries. To many race cars coming through the shop these days hard to keep them all straight

And the WC car well you know those are all near and dear to us @ GMG

If you look closely, there is a funny gap between the left front fender and the bumper cover. To me it looked as though there had been some accident damage. When I questioned the salesperson (it was at Canepa) at the time, the reply was something of the effect of "Oh, that's just the photo. it looks fine in person...".

Glad to see this car is getting the full GMG treatment. I look forward to many photo updates.

Here's some more photos.

The owner is going to greatly appreciate a "new" car.

I finally took mine out of storage after sitting for the past year and ran it at the local track (Spring Mountain) - the sounds, power (restrictors removed), torque and grip were fantastic. I didn't have time to play with the traction control, but the diff is notably more pronounced, at least compared to my '09 997 cup that I used for practice before jumping in the RSR. In short, a cup on steroids......

Just for clarification - this was an '05 RSR run during the last half of the ALMS GT-2 season in 2006 that Jorg won the championship in, and where he and Patrick accumulated wins at the 2006 New England Grand Prix, 2006 Road America, and the 2006 Petit Le Mans. Its predecessor was destroyed at LeMans in 2006.

I can't even imagine what this car can do in the hands of Patrick or Jorg.....

Thusly,

Wasn't your car "recruited" by Porsche for White Lightning/Peterson to finish the season?

Yes. Purchased in June 2006 to finish the season. Previously raced in POC events in Cal. It was the last RSR imported into the U.S. - no 2006 RSR's were built. It was upgraded to ALMS specs and won its inaugural GT2 race - New England Grand Prix in July 2006.
