Default Quaife QBE61G - Anyong getting it?

in RCE this month, the Quaife QBE61G was highlighted. Its a drop in sequential trans solution for the 996 gt3. With an 85mm shaft, it says it can handle in excess of 500hp/450trq. It can also be optioned with a torque biasing diff. It also has an integrated oil pump, for internal lube.

Includes for $23,700 USD
- Bellhousing
- Gearbox mounts
- Flywheel
- triple plate super clutch and Ancillaries
- [optional] Limited slip
- 20 Millisecond shift time

They even mentioned the automatic ignition cut was disabled to make the car more driveable on downshifts.

We're shopping for a cup car next season, and I'm thinking this would be a nice package to get for a car with a high mile trans...or even find a car with a decent trans and sell it.

I know quaife's durability is sometimes questioned, but has anyone heard more info about this unit?

Anyone ordering one?

The problem is that purchasing it will render the car illegal for GTC3 and put the car into GTA category. If you have an 996 cup, how is the ignition cut done? Or does that mean that the driver simply lifts slightly for the shift? There is a difference between a flat shifting sequential (997 Cup) and a sequential box in terms of electronics.

If you want to upgrade the electronics to something like MoTeC from the street ECU that comes with the early 996 Cup, then you can do flat shifting. Alternatively, you might have to install the 997 Cup ECU and wire harness.

Why would you want a torque biasing Diff in a road circuit car?
