You're pissing off all of the 964 US cup and Eurocup guys.

Rassel 09-18-2007 08:19 PM

Added!
I didn't intend to list all works cars on my own, I'll probably miss quite a few then...

Is the 964 US Cup really a factory cup? Does Andial count?

Weren't they were deliverd as race cars, non street registerable. Then converted to street use ? Or am I just wrong

Geoffrey 09-20-2007 09:36 AM

You are forgetting 964 RSR 3.8

AndyT 09-20-2007 09:52 AM

Indeed, and there is a really nice example of one in Kingston NY

Geoffrey 09-20-2007 09:59 AM

Mine is not a factory car, but rather a customer built car and has been updated to 993RSR running gear.

AndyT 09-20-2007 11:00 AM

Close enough probably better too : )

You have it backwards. They were delivered as registerable street cars, some were converted to race cars by Andial, most (all?) were converted back to street cars and sold. Almost all that are raced today have been re-converted back to be race cars by random shops.

+ 1 None of the "US cup cars left the factory as a FACTORY RACE CAR" They are Euro RS street cars that were converted to cup car specs except for DOT items. Cup cars well yes and no. Certainly not factory... Clones ... IMHO Yes, some better than others.

Well, actually they were not Euro RSs because they came with all of the requirements for USA DOT like airbags, door beams, US wiring harnesses...but then again, we've had this discussion in the past. Great cars and I'd love to have one as a street driver.

What about the SCRS? Of course it was destined for the stages, not the circuits.
