Ignition cut/retard for up shifts on a 997
Is there an adjustment for when and how much the car does the ignition cut/retard when upshifting on a 2008.
Thanks

As per above. The strain gauge in the shift lever is what feeds into the ECU and tells it to cut fuel (technically not throttle--the wdka % stays constant throughout an upshift).
Problem: You'll need to unlock the ECU to edit that... PMNA doesn't do that as far as my interactions with them have taught me...
With these cars I think there's a market for open aftermarket ECUs. Porsche must've made about 800-1000 997s. The Bosch ECUs do time out (as I have experienced myself) and the replacements are prohibitively expensive if not outright unavailable. Somebody with a ready motec-based solution should be able to sell 100 units of these things over time, or am I dreaming?

/\ Wish that was available when we were building my car, ended up converting to a Motec M800, luckily we created a pig tail to be able to plug back into a Bosch ECU.
We did end up programming a timing cut for the upshift, make sure you also program a fuel cut or you end up throwing flames out the back.

All depends on whether you're trying to retard or advance the blip, or to modify its duration. At a mechanical level this is really just a hall sensor feeding a couple mV into the bus...
