A/C blowing hot air, not cold or warm
2 years ago the passenger side blew warm and the driver side blew cold. I brought it to my Indy and $1700 later, for him to rebuild the control unit and assembly and dis assembly, it was working great.
Last week the passenger side started blowing warm air again while the driver side blew cool. Fast forward to a couple of days ago I turn on the A/C and it is blowing hot from all vents- not warm, but hot.
We're having a heat wave here in NY and I need my A/C!!!
2006 V6, temperature gauge sitting steady at 160 when driving the car, no noises.

It sounds broken. There isn't any magic that will make it all better. It has to be FIXED.
If you can't fix it, then someone else will have to. Troubleshooting it via the web is pretty much an exercise in futility, I'd suggest revisiting the "indy" who got it to work and emptied your wallet last time. Maybe he'll feel a bit guilty and not reach so deep this time.

It should give you a climate control error if it is the panel again. I would get a newer used part but you will likely need to encode it. Maybe the durametric can do that.
I don't think it is the heater control valve. When that fails, you usually get full on hot heat and often that is for all the vents.
I have two cars around 2003-2005 model year that I replaced climate control. Funny how my older cars from the 90s never have this problem. A simple manual temp setting and fan speed is more reliable.

heater control valve location / replacement ?
Can anyone tell me the exact location of the Cayenne S Heater Control valve ( Pierburg 955 572 824 05) - is it under dash left or right side, or back of engine perhaps. I cannot locate it, nor find any reference online.
My AC is running HOT AIR all the time - all vents, regardless of AC temp is set - and I hear from this thread that it could be due to malfunctioning HVAC heater Control valve - which I purchased , but cannot find on the vehicle
many thanks, mike
