EPA adds Diesel Cayenne to Out of Spec Cars
The EPA is expanding the VW diesel recall to include Cayenne diesels. Stay tuned. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...i-and-porsche/

Oh man... this is bad news. What bothers me is that VW had to know that these additional cars were impacted as well, but they chose not to say anything. That means that they are either incompetent or that they continue to be in denial. Either way, not good.

This horrible news. Funny how it mentions 2015 and up, and not my '14. Don't think there is any possibility my car isn't affected.

And so it begins. Ironically the entire auto industry accounts for a small sliver of the total N0X. The vast vast majority or emissions are coming from container ships, trains, trucks and industry. Why don't we start a witch hunt where it actually matters? All of the "evil" cheating vw engines are polluting a fraction of a fraction of 1% of total N0x.

****.
I think the MY's referenced were specific vehicles tested, not the only ones affected. I have to believe that they are all at fault.
Man, this does NOT make me happy.

I read somewhere that the cheater software actually was supplied by Bosch and it was up to the auto companies to enable it or not. I fear for my 38 MPG at 60 MPH however. Maybe the Ad Blue burn rate will have to go up. Its about 2.5 gallons per 5K miles currently.

And if they've tested the 16 Audis, why not the Cayennes and Touregs?
I still have a sliver of hope for our 14 Cayenne... but I won't be holding my breath.

Anything they do to reduce performance, increase Ad Blue burn rate or increase fuel burn was not what we originally purchased. No way to take this lightly. Try telling a 911 owner his car may get slower, or burn more fuel.

Needsdecaf has it right...they'll almost certainly include the '14 CD.

Too bad for VW Group, so buying for those of you that bought the Diesel, was MPG really that important? Or did you expect your cake and to eat it as well (performance/efficiency), or lastly just want to say you own a Porsche?
I ask because, if it was just for MPG's why not save quite a bit of money and buy a loaded Toureg or TDI of some sort, or hell another brand completely? Before the EPA issues came up, were you unhappy with the MPG's? Just curious of the logic, I don't own or want a DC, just curious what is so upsetting to diesel owners (I've not looked much into it, so don't take this offensively).

I'm still happy with it and (right now) this doesn't change it. I bought it for the long run which is the only way the numbers on any diesel work.

Very surprised the CEO of Porsche claiming none of their vehicles affected...now this!
