This is what I've been looking for. I have an 06 CTTS and want to add bluetooth to my PCM. I love how stock these look. Please provide review when you have a chance. Thanks.

There was some degradation in the sound but not much. The amp was bypassed and the internal amp of the unit's being used. There's Amp/Equalizer controls for bass, treble etc.. on the settings menu.

The bluetooth's superb on both ends of the call, the mic is embedded in the upper right corner of the unit.

No functionality of the odometer was lost and when a source is selected, it's also displayed on the odometer panel like iPod, USB, etc..

I'm very pleased with the unit because it integrates well with the vehicle. No functionality was lost, the steering wheel controls work well with no extra mods.

I'm pretty pleased overall

Pics were posted successfully and scroll up to see my initial review. I'll do a more in-depth review after a little more time with the unit

That unit looks nice for my 2008!!!

Can you insert an SD card and play MP3 songs from it?
So the quality or power of sound has suffered? I guess you had to use the internal Amps from the unit, no way around it?

If you can't just use the Bose amp what makes this any better than a pioneer. It doesn't really seem that plug and play.

Navigation is good. The response time is fast as the lookup address features are tuned to a specific area for instance... It grays out letters while typing street names by location. There is a menu to upload your own logo... It comes with porsche logo by default and lets you pick color scheme, haven't seen a skin upload option. It had DVD playback, also works im motion for the passenger.

Yes, there is an SD card slot on the fron of the unot for mp3s or video. There is an adapter you can buy to use the factory amp, i think ira made by navTV

It is plug and play in regards to the steering wheel controls and rhe odometer display. You can buy an adapter to make bose amp work but im doing a 2 pjase update. I just couldn't stand the factory unit

I like the idea of stock looking unit. Where did you buy it from?

I think it looks great. Kudos for taking the plunge.
How much is the cable so you can use the Bose amp?
Did you get it all done in your $1100 budget?
Do you have GPS as well?

Found this online:

3. For before 2008 and after 2009 model year car Original Optical Fiber mode sound amplifier system, this DVD unit can not support, but it already is built in superior sound amplifier system, will replace your car optical fiber mode amplifier system to directly connect your car speakers to sound!(we provide special long cable to connect this DVD unit and your car speakers connector.)

Strange wording - before 2008 and after 2009. So you can only use original amplifier with 2008 model year? Makes little sense to me.

Just found a couple of auctions on Ebay for this unit. Does the following sentence makes sense?

Can not support original fiber connection.(But can be fit for 2008-2009 model's fiber optic amplifier)

Also, one of the auctions had a link to the manual:

Default Fiber Optic Connection

Hi guys. I was evaluating that same unit, and one of the vendors mentioned that if you had the Bose system, they would send you a FOC cable so you could connect it to the Bose amp that would replace the factory MOST remote start.
