Yesterday I added a 2008 Cayenne S to my car-fleet

Of course I first tried all the features and extras of the car, but I am somehow stuck with two things:

- The rear window does not open. I have an electrical tail gate, so I assume the only way to open the window is to use the small button under the wiper. Unfortunately nothing happens.... I read here in the forum that the switch is often the culprit. Is there a way to check this, i.e. get access to the connectors and bridge it? Just want to make sure that it's not a 'user error' when going to the dealer (rtfm).

- Can I somehow connect a bluetooth phone to the PCM 2.1 with phone module? Or is the only option to use a twin card in the PCM? BTW, when was PCM 3.0 delivered first in the Cayenne?

Congratulations on your new Bratislava/Leipzig built Porsche!

The rear glass microswitch has two wires running to a connector that can be unplugged. In place of bridging harness side of wiring to see if circuit is active and release mechanism works, I would recommend using a tester on the switch side of the harness to see if the switch is the culprit. See attached PDF on removal procedures. Sorry, no wiring diag for shortcut to avoid removing rear switch.

Wolfgang, 2008 M.Y. did not have the PCM 3. I believe you have the PCM 2.1 in your Cayenne.

Ok the culprit is obviously the switch. it does not work when pushed (Ohmmeter) and when I brigde the connector the lock opens.

The problem now is to get the wiper off the axle. It's seized and there's no room for a tool to use as a lever. I penetrated it now in WD40, maybe in a few hours it works.... or does somebody know a trick to get the wiper off?

Unfortunately not, although a trip to the Leipzig assembly plant would have definitely been worthwhile. Through Porsche Travel Services (Treffen), I roadtested the GTS on the Autobahn prior to making my decision to purchase one. Admittedly, my decision was 90% complete before driving one in Germany!

Wolfgang, there's a wiper arm removal tool that can be obtained either thru Hazet or Wurth. It's a clamp device that uses the wiper arm's threaded stud for backpressure and pulls the arm off the corroded conical seating area.

The WD40 worked wonders, I could wiggle the wiper arm off the shaft :-)

I only need the new switch now.....
