Ahhh so it's a detached house! Okay. I thought when you said "flat" you meant one of the warehouse industrial condos. I see it's a detached home near Brampton. Depending on where you are, it'll probably be a challenge driving in to work, but if you're on the highway by 7:00 you can be at University/College, assuming you're downtown, by 8:00, possibly earlier, barring any really crazy unforeseen accidents. But if you're new to the area you'll do best, I think, with the 427 South then Gardiner E, and University North, rather than try the DVP or Yonge.

My gf and I are looking now for a home with a decent 2+ car garage. And trying to find one that doesn't have a big-assed garage sticking out into the driveway, as with newer homes, is really hard to find. Ideally, I want a completely separate garage with room for 3+ cars. I've been spoiled ever since seeing RB's 60' x 30' 8 car garage with a hoist. (He's a 951 guy).

Remember I'm a nurse, start at 7:00 am and do 12.5 hour shifts, traffic shouldn't be to mush of a problem, know what you mean about the garage on the front, we have council estates that have the principal, for that reason alone my hubby won't even look at those, he's happy as long as I get my garage and he get's his basement (cell) so as long it has those two things were happy as a Frenchman who's invented a pair of self removing trousers. Can't wait to start converting all those dead 924/944's that have had there engines blown up, bringing along my spare TVR engine to do a 944 runaround as soon as I get there. especially as I have made the kit into a bolt in conversion, expect to get flamed compleatly but beyond caring, I've made over £20,000 so far this year from doing the kits and after sales so I guess there's call for them, I'll be X.L.R.8 int. soon

lol

Well just wrap yourself in flame retardant material like the TV stuntmen do and you'll be fine.

what about:

- a turbo V-8 from the Cayenne in a new 911
- a turbocharged V-8 from a 928 in an older 911

Think outside the box.

COOL! ... always wanted that in my Living Room

I'm from Brampton and am curious which hospital you'll be driving to in Toronto. You're shift times will make a BIG difference in commuting.

If you're finding a house with a 4 car gar and the house isn't a dump and the rent is cheap .. either you're reallllly lucky, or it's wayyyy out of town. Then again, you're used to rent in England, so everything here is cheap for you

My wife used to drive 30 km from Brampton to the edge of Toronto. on snowy days it took her 2 hours sometimes. I drove downtown one week for training .... never again. But hey, lots of people do it ... good luck and welcome I'll get you in touch with a guy I just met who put a Grand National engine in a 944 *shudder*. I've seen it ... crazy!

I'm a childrens nurse so there's only one hospital for me really, Sickkids have offered me a job, I travel 25 miles into London everyday at present, I also have my GSXR1215 that's coming with me so I shouldn't have too much trouble. Rent is around $2000/month, I have rented mine out for $3500/month so I'm laughing as my mortgage is only £300 ($720) month. Race car is packed away awaiting transrot, adn I have now done 10 V8-924s/944 conversion kits to bring with me so i can have a real car to drive if I can get my road car over then I guess I'll transfer the engine over or make way for an all-Ally Chevy lump.

Adie,

Good luck in Toronto. I spent 3 years there M-F. Great town but I must say I won't miss the the 401. The 427 is good advice but that is getting crowded as well.

Alan
