Hi Guys,
This has probably been asked before but does someone in the UK have an RSR Muffler that I could hear? I've already very kindly been offered a sound wav file but if I can hear it in real life as well I will be very happy.
Any volunteers in the London area?
Cheers,
David

Hi Narinder,
RSR is the name of a modified stock silencer which is popular in the US and which seems to be getting popular over here in Europe. A standard box is opened up , the restrictor thingy adjusted and the box re-welded. This gives a little more power and, more importantly, makes the system more noisy - making it sound better. It's just like they used to do to motorbike exhausts.
Naturally, before buying an exhaust, one wants to hear what it sounds like - hence the quest. I've had a few responses so hopefully I'll find out fairly soon.
Thanks for your interest.
Cheers,
David
PS If you want to find out more, search the 993 forum for RSR Muffler.

I can't help as 2 years ago I took my lhd uk car to switzerland but I stopped via Gerts in Belgium and he fitted the rsr mk2.
I've been delighted with it in every way.
My car is a daily driver and I often switch off the radio "on the twisties" just to enjoy the other "music"
Get one - you will not regret it.
Regards
Mike

David/Caveman - can you tell me who offered to send you a .wav file? Was it Robin Sun? I am also interested in getting the RSR for my car and would like to hear it first.
Thanks

It wasn't Robin Sun who offered the file but as soon as I get it I'd be happy to send a copy. All of the feedback that I have had so far is very positive.

I am not sure I can directly hep you, but what exactly are you referring to. Is RSR a brand of muffler, or do you mean the 3.8 RSR?

The RSR muffler is compliments of the ingenuity of a fellow Rennlister Robin and is sold through Gert in Europe.

A very big thanks to John who dropped by mine to demonstrate his RSR silencers. Excellent! They sound really good - a nice burble outside and not too intrusive inside whilst once the car is accelerating they sound even better. I'm certainly sold and will be contacting Gert shortly.
Thanks to everyone for their input/comments.
Cheers,
David
