Looks cool! How does it work with a Link computer? I still have problems with no RPM or speedo after doing my 968 turbo conversion on my 951. I was looking to install an entire new GT dash with VDO's. I would consider this if they could communicate together.

Let me know.

Do we normally advertise our products on the forum?

Advertising? I thought he was showing off a new part for his car. LOL

Yeah, it gets tiring to see a post turn out to be an advertisement for a product by a vendor. And he's one who's posted a lot lately.

Sorry for the spam guys but I for one was happy to see a lower cost alternative to the Motec/Pi type dashes out there in the multi thousand dollar range.

This unit so far can directly interface, display, and log data from: Motec, Electromotive, Link, Wolf, EFI systems, Zytec and a few others.

BTW-I use the same unit Mychron III Gold on my shifter kart and it works fairly well.

Not as high quality as my Motec or ProData, but it only costs $699 not thousands...

What is the distance limit for the transmitter? The hotlap unit has two 'distance' options:

Extended Range Transmitter: (Model 21623) With a 60-foot range.

Double Range Transmitter: (Model 21628) With 120-foot range.

Thanks.

Mark,

Not sure, I will have to check. They also have a magnetic pickup so if the track has the magnetic strip embedded (like many kart tracks do), then infrared is not even needed....

The advertised range is 150 ft. We have had an issue with it picking up on the other side of the track several hundred ft away! Range will not be an issue!
