Default Porsche Bosch Hammer tester

Does anyone know where I can buy a Porsche/Bosch hammer tester ?

I need a tester that can fully test a 993 TT/GT2 ABS system. I need to test each wheel independantly and I heard the hammer will do this.

TIA,
Norm

Norm:

I just bought a PST2 which is the "next generation" of the Hammer. They are going for about 3000-4000 on a Laptop or 6000 as a stand alone unit. Prices will probably dropping a bit because the new PIWAS computer was released by Porsche this year, and dealerships now have it. If you don't mind sending money via western union to Germany (which I do!!!) then there are a number of sources. If you do mind, and would prefer to buy by credit card in the US I know a potential supplier. Email me.

Be careful when buying a "PST2". Most of the stuff I've seen for sale is just a $100 486 laptop with an I/O card from a Bosch KTS500, cables from Porsche and pirated software (that anyone can download). There are quite a few people hoping to scam people into spending several thousand dollars for these cobbled together units. Unless Porsche has changed their policy in the USA in the past two months it will be almost impossible to buy a PIWAS tester. PCNA is/was limiting dealer sales, for every 3 techs a dealership is allowed to purchase only one unit. There is also a $1300 monthly service fee. :<

There was a Bosch Hammer sold on eBay a month or so ago. It was from the UK IIRC.

If it was the same one I saw they wanted 3 or 4K for it - which I was not interested in spending on it...

Thx,
Norm

John Speake (in the same forum) has them for sale as well. If you do a search on "Cheap Hammer" you will find it. He is working on a less expensive alternative... But has Hammers also.
