I have not with Carnewal but do with SOUL and would highly recommend them. Every Porsche meet I go to everyone says I have the best sounding car. Mid range is considerably noticeable and pulls hard from low RPM all the way to redline. Build quality is very nice and fitment is spot on. No CEL either. I have them paired with the SOUL valved exhaust as well so the combination is perfect!

Thank you for the response. Carnewal claims that their Cats add 10 hp by modifying the stock headers.
SOUL says 25 HP & TQ for the headers alone add the valved exhaust for another 15 or so. Doesn't sound like much but I can assure you that you can feel it!
I'm looking at Carnewal 200 cell cats. Has anyone had any experience with this brand or any others?
Had Fabspeed sports on 981 GT4. Eventually got a CEL and had to put OEM headers back on to pass in NC. Have catless fabspeed now. I liked the sports - no issues and sounded nice.

if you go catless , do you need to tune the car?
some local guy is selling a set of catless downpipes I would like to get them installed in my 992, just don’t want to deal with tuning and all that stuff, would it throw error codes?

I don't think you necessarily need a tune to go catless, but you will get an O2 sensor CEL at some point, although the Dundon headers seem to be very good at holding the CEL off (from what I have read). I have the 4.5L mod from DeMan so that comes with a tune and Cobb access port.

is there a way to bypass so don’t get a CEL code, I was told there is an adapter you can install between the cats and the oxygen sensor so it doesn’t give codes

Fabspeed makes mini-cats. Maybe others do as well. I tried them. If you want to do a PhD dissertation on O2 sensors, have at it! LOL. I went round and round with them and could not get them to work (and I actually have a PhD in engineering). The data is very sensitive to standoff and even orientation of the sensors - not only that but having no experience in this area, I wasn't sure what the data was supposed to look like. I was getting different results between lefit and right sides. Did not use them for long. I still have them if you want to buy and try.
Agree. It's the placebo effect unless you are a professional driver that can, say, also tell the difference between +/- 0.25 psi in the tires.
Sorry but as an engineer I would think you would have a better understanding of "flow". By restricting the flow (high cell cats) you limit the amount of exhaust gas exiting the motor causing back pressure. When freeing up that exhaust allows for more volume flow increasing power. You wouldn't see race cars with OEM headers & cats. Ask any professional in the auto world and they will all agree that freeing up exhaust flow improves power in this case 200 cell cats will be an improvement over the OEM cats. Just my $.02 worth
