Sorry to hear your ownership experience has begun like this. It must be frustrating.
For what it's worth, our 4 E-Hybrid had a problem with a twisted coolant hose that was constricted but not completely blocked. This was when the car was brand new. The problem was easy to fix once they diagnosed it (unlike yours, apparently), but it took weeks in the shop and multiple visits there to diagnose it. It was a very frustrating time. However, the moral of my story is that we have been very happy with the car ever since. It is fun to drive, great for road trips and a looker too. So I'm glad we didn't get rid of it, which very nearly happened. I enjoy every drive in the car.
So I hope that your frustration quickly turns back into being delighted with your car, as was the case with us.

Thanks for the uplifting words louver. I reached a low point yesterday, even considering a return of the car. However, I actually really like this car, it's quite unique and even my two short days driving it were special. After speaking more with the Porsche dealerships involved, I feel more confident with the repair process so will give them reasonable time to make it right. Parts availability does seem to be a general problem within the U.S. Porsche network, some of my parts are being direct shipped out of Germany. I have taken a Cayenne hostage in the meantime.
Good news. The car is back and no engine removal required. While prepping for removal, Porsche removed some things and discovered the real source of the coolant leak - a sensor. I guess it was dripping on the coolant line. New sensor fitted, pressurized and tested. So I'm happy again but will watch things closely for the next few days. Returned hostage car with all parts intact. Phew.
I recently bought a Turbo S, and I have to say that I was really unsure as to whether to get this car or the regular Turbo. I’m so glad I got the hybrid. While the acceleration is bonkers in the car in sport or sport plus, I’ve really enjoyed driving in hybrid and full electric modes. Just with normal driving I’m getting 40 mpg - and that’s with a rip from the green light in hybrid mode! I’m just so pleased with the overall luxury of the car, and the performance even with the extra weight with the battery. You can feel the heaviness, but the car is SO competent even in the bends. I installed a charger with the Porsche dock casing and it looks great and makes it easy to just plug in overnight. Given the current heat wave we are experiencing in the Northeast, my new favorite feature is the pre-cool in the Porsche Connect app. Brilliant!

Back in 2015, when me and biz partner got our first Porsche cars, Panamera S E hybrids, he had his for about 4 weeks, when it came up with a fault. In the end the dealer had his car for 52 days before he got it back. It was one battery cell giving a higher output than it should have. Before they realised this they ordered some module, then when that arrived they ordered the special tool required to fit it, then when that arrived the module made no change, so they changed the battery. Whilst at the dealer his car was quarantined away from all other cars as a fire risk. At the same time, I was going through pain and had 3 injectors changed, with a threat on the final one that i might need a new wiring harness. Pretty dark days back then.
We haven't really looked back since. (apart from a GPS antenna issue in UK on my 2017 car).
The cars are so great though. Actually they are more than great they are superb. I am on my 3rd Panamera hybrid now with Taycan Turbo due in October/November.
Put it behind you and enjoy the car when its back.

Definitely some fun features in the Porsche Connect App. When my car was in the shop all I had was my spare key, the charger and the app to play with. I was able to locate my car's exact position in the service shop and when it didn't get enough attention, flash the lights and sound the horn (ok, I didn't actually do that but was tempted). I set up a Geo fence around the Porsche dealership and once the car escaped, got pinged on my phone. I also set up a Speed fence and got the over speed warning and exact location on the map (tsch tsch Porsche delivery driver!). Would be great if Porsche added the surround cameras in a future release.

Certainly compared with my previous 911 cars, my Panamera 4 e-Hybrid has had more than its fair share of teething problems. I am a bit concerned how it will fare once the warranty runs out in October this year and I am very tempted to buy the Porsche extended warranty for peace of mind. The only recurrent problems I had with my various different generation 911 Turbos, were leaking front diff oil seals, corroding aluminium radiators due to the uncleanable dirt and leaf trap at their lower edges and corroding bolts on the very low slung turbos.
The Audi origin V6 engines do not have a great reputation for reliability or longevity and I just hope Porsche took a long hard look at the recurrent faults with these engines and were proactive in improving the areas of proven previous unreliability on their versions. I think I am correct that Porsche use a timing chain rather than the belt of most of the Audi V6 engines, which is one improvement. I am not sure how much in common there is between the Audi and Porsche V6 engines.
I'm with you on that Wilson. Don't think I will run a chariot like this without warranty including labor. My recent engine out scare had me questioning maintenance procedures for even trivial items. Perhaps it was to placate my frustration at the time, but I was informed it was not an uncommon procedural item to remove the engine in an e-hybrid for maintenance, apparently they are designed for that - ok, but the issue is the estimate provided to me was 30 hours labor assuming no other issues. How are your dealership rates in the UK these days? I doubt we could get away with much below $300/hr here in the US. It's not just the Audi derived V6, but the addition of hybrid technology, air suspension (memories of my sagging AMG due to internal O-rings failing - v. expensive), complex clutch & transmission with 4WD, rear wheel steering, and a plethora of electronics. All wonderful when working of course. I'm sure some of us will have zero problems, my friend has owned his beloved 970 4S for 6 years, 50K miles without a single issue. I think the jury is still out on the long term reliability of the 971.
Its my understanding you can purchase the "extended" warranty right up until the original warranty runs out if you are the original owner. I believe when I bought the car they told me the "extended warranty" would run about $5000. Not sure if that number is still in the "ball park"?

Has anyone tracked down what is the loud whining/whirring noise you hear after the car has been heat soaking in bright sunlight for some hours. It takes quite a long time to stop. You can feel the vibration through the steering wheel of whatever it is. Someone has suggested it is a powerful cooling fan for the high voltage inverter. Any thoughts? I got it yesterday as it is currently very hot in the south of France, with completely cloudless blue skies.
In the UK, the extended Panamera e-Hybrid warranty is £2400 for 2 years including the 110 point check. If I get back to the UK and book in an annual service before the original 3 year warranty expires on 26th October, the 110 point check will repair anything under warranty that they find. If I don't get back to the UK in time, I will be charged £80 extra for the warranty but more importantly, anything they find in the 110 point check is out of my wallet, so I would bet they look a whole lot more carefully.
I just hope the check is better than the 120 point check you get on a used BMW. About 22 years ago I bought a low mileage E34 3.8L/6 speed Nurburgring edition M5 with the 120 point check. The check missed things like two different width wheels on the back axle, broken spare wheel, sticking throttle, oil and water leaks, missing tool kit, misaligned rear suspension (presumably when the spare wheel had got broken), leaking oleo pneumatic rear struts for the active suspension, very poor and smelly air con, erratic windows and sun roof, inoperative cruise control, warped brake discs, etc etc etc and that was from one of the big London dealers. When I went back with my two and a half page list of faults from the assessment I had done by a specialist BMW M garage, they said I was being completely unreasonable. To this I replied if you think this is unreasonable, just wait until I get you to court, where my very competent lawyer (from one of the big city law firms) will make you look like the incompetent and dangerous amateurs that you obviously are. I had to get a writ delivered, to show I wasn't bluffing and I got a £5000 payment from them to have the work done elsewhere, less my legal fees of around £700.
What type of mileage do you guys get in Sport/Sport+ modes? My car shows only 10mpg - can that be correct? I’ve been mostly driving around town in hybrid mode and getting 35+ consistently, even when gunning it once in a while.

I drove my car for a short journey this morning (10 miles or so), 18.2mpg in Sports+
