Need Help: Discounts off MSRP Porsche Panamera Turbo?
Looking at two Porsche Panamera Turbos in stock at a local dealer. One is a 2012 that was driven by the General Manager with 3K miles on it.
The second is a new 2013 Porsche Panamera Turbo that has not been driven.
On the 2013 Panamera Turbo in stock, what should I expect as a reasonable/fair discount off of MSRP? Also, they added some larger 22" wheels for like $8k and credited back $3K for the stock 20". Said I could have the 20"s back on. I like the 22" but not sure what is a reasonable price for them.
On the 2012 Panamera Turbo which is my second favorite, I suspect I could get a substantial discount since it is 2012 and has 3K miles. What should I expect or should I steer clear of the GM car?
I really appreciate anyone's help. Not trying to hammer the dealer, just wanting to make sure I get a good/fair deal and don't leave a ton of money on the table!

I bought a similar demo, not sure I would but much weight in the who drove the car before it was offered for sale. Mine had 6400 miles, had not been titled; MSRP was 108k and I paid 92,500.
Current year, used prices are hard to find so if the previous year model is comparable in specs, you can run the prior years model price with zero miles and run the price with the demo's mileage to get the discount per mile off msrp. You'll still need to account for depreciation, loss of warranty time (it begins when demo was put in service), etc..
To get an idea of the previous drivers use I had an independent PPI done, looked at the recordings on the sport chrono log (records track laps), had a DME report pulled in the PPI and looked at the historical fuel consumption in the car's vehicle menu screen.
I bought the demo because I knew I would only keep a it year and then order my dream baby. I love the car, but not knowing its history has crept up as an issue several times. It's a bit like having an orphan. Buying a Demo does save money, only you can decide if what you give up (how was it broke in? has anything gross or undesirable occurred in or to the car? are there issues that could be a problem later?).
Big decision, good luck with it. Enjoy whichever car you end up with.

I got 7% off my brand new 2012 PTT in May. I would ask if the warranty has started, if so it is a used car and you can expect "big" depreciation. Assume 25% - 30% the day after you drive it off the lot, so if it has miles I would be looking for 13% -15% off MSRP minimum. There are a "lot" of PTT available right now in the dealer inventory and plenty of 2013 production coming in.

Based on what I've seen/heard, a 7% discount is not unreasonable. That may be closer to 5% on a new model year model, depending of course on your dealer's volume and inventory.
As for the demo, from what I understand from my local dealer salesguys, Porsche does not have a demo program like other manufacturers do, so any discount will be out of the dealer's profit, not subsidized by Porsche. I could be wrong. So given all that, I wouldn't expect more than a few thousand less than invoice as a discount on the demo.
HTH.

PT
I purchased a new 2011 PT earlier in 2012. Mine was spec'd right for me with mid 160's sticker for 17% off. I'd think you can find a nicely spec'd 2012 for 15% off these days. Not too much has changed from the 2011's for the U.S. market. Good luck.

I ordered my Panamera and got a nice discount off MSRP. For a 2012 with miles as a demo, you should get a sizeable discount. 17% off a 2012 as mentioned by FSCCA sounds like a great deal for a no miles no demo car!!

23% off sticker is a huge deal! Well done. Since the new cars typically come out in July/August, your car was already 5 months out of season, so that's why you got such a good discount. I'm sure the model "refresh" helped as well.

I ordered a 2012 PTT to my spec - $175k MSRP - got 10% off MSRP. I have bought 5 Porsche's from that dealer over 10 years (Turbo, GT2, GT3 RS, Turbo Cab and PTT). No question that helped in the deal.
