Has anyone installed a baby car seat?
Apologies if this question is out of character for a Porsche enthusiasts' forum.
I am getting married shortly and am looking at a Panamera 4 to replace my '09 Cayenne (I'll never give up my Cayman S!).
Looking down the road, I will need to install a baby seat at some point. Does anyone currently have a baby seat installed in their Panamera? I was wondering if the rear center console gets in the way? Is it too impractical to have a baby seat in this car?
Thanks in advance!

Baby seats
I'm past that stage of life but I seem to remember that the owners manual describes the process. I don't have my manual handy but I think you may be able to access that on line, just google panamera owners manual.
"Child Restraint Systems
Porsche recommends that all infants and children
be restrained in child restraint systems at all times
while the vehicle is in motion in accordance with
applicable laws.
When possible, use only child restraint systems
recommended by Porsche. These systems have
been tested and adjusted to the interior of your
Porsche and the appropriate child age groups.
These child restraint systems are also designed to
be secured in vehicle seats by the lap belt portion
of the lap-shoulder-belt.
Other systems have not been tested and could
entail an increased risk of injury.
The use of infant or child restraints is required by
law in all 50 US states and the Canadian
provinces. The child restraint system should be
one that complies with U.S. Federal/Canadian
Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and should be
secured by a lap belt portion of a lap-shoulder belt
or for child seats equipped with the LATCH sytem
(Lower Anchorage and Tether for Children, also
known as ISOFIX) to the LATCH anchorages.
You can obtain child seats that are LATCH
compatible at your authorized Porsche dealer.
f Always observe the separate installation
instructions for your child seat.
A statement by the seat manufacturer of
compliance with this federal standard can be
found on the instruction label on the restraint and
in the instruction manual provided with the restraint."

I considered this as well until my wife went ape-shyt about the baby seat being near the door in case of a side impact. So we purchased a 2011 Cayenne Turbo and the world is at peace again! LOL
I do remember a thread on here where someone posted pics of a Panny with a Recaro baby seat.

I have put 2 large, britax, baby seats in my car and regularly put one baby seat and one child/booster seat in the car. Plenty of room for the kiddoes. In fact, they have significantly more leg room than they do in my wifes escalade esv. Go figure. I would never install a seat not the middle of the panny, it is not a seat. Plus, my panny has 680bhp so if the kids get cranky I just push on the happy pedal and they get stuck to the back of the seats.

Thanks for the comments. I'm expecting my first in just under 6 months and I am exploring options as I only have a Cayman S. Crazy how the world changes!

Just brought home my new P4 last night. My Britax Marathon seat will fit, but it's not perfect. It was great in my Cayenne. Not being able to remove the headrest makes a taller ca rseat a little more challenging. You might consider a Britax Roundabout, which I recall is not as tall at the Marathon.
I'd welcome others to suggest makes/models since I'm afraid the Marathon may not be ideal.
