Porsche Panamera, Cayenne Could Be Axed By VW
By Wes Siler Mon Aug 31 2009 [AutoObserver]
Looks like the most model prolific automaker could be saying no more model proliferation.
According to a report, VW wants to ax the Porsche Panamera, Cayenne and any other "off-message models" when it takes over the company.

Those pics are not even close... whatever they are... though regardless of pics after taking the time to understand what Porsche has done with the Panamera, namely a luxury sedan with the highest utility-to-sport driving ratio, IMHO there is no way Porsche will release a coupe as it lowers the utility for aesthetics only.
That's a GM philosophy (see the Caddy line) not a Porsche philosophy.

You have another idea about how to run a business?
In case you're the one just awakening from a coma, the problems came when Porsche got into the Enron/Texas style accounting.
Wiedeking thought he was Ken Lay, or God forbid Dubya, ha!
That 2-door version makes sense since the platform is built, and they could tighten up a nice design around it.
