How else will Porsche slowly sneak over to water cooled front engined cars and fade out the rear engines?

Aw dude don't be hatin' on the coupe. I've had three 911's but I lusted after the 928 in high school and college. I still throw around getting one and will be all over this baby. Fast .. practical .. beautiful .. Porsche ..

^^ it's a GT car - i'm sure it's going to pen out to be similar to an aston or a jag. except the interior won't be as luxurious and it'll be lighter and better handling.

Suspect the 911 will be around for a long long time to come - it just passed 40 years back in 2004 - hard to believe they would not get a 50 year anniversary for that car.
More likely the 2-door panamera is a rebirth of the 928.......

I like the Panamera coupe concept and the 928 concept. Its does seem to me that Porsche has lost its design mojo. in the 80's and 90's nothing looked like a Porsche. They were cutting edge

I'm Independent just like Bill O`Reilly but didn't McCain do the same thing when he selected Sarah Palin?
Now that two door looks sweet, awesome. Wish they could have pushed the Four door in that direction to begin with. As it is now I will probably be getting a Panamera.

The 911 should always be Porsche's bottom bitch though, even if they move the engine forwards ever so slowly

I absolutely love the desire and "Drive" of the Porsche Fanatics and Enthusiast. PERIOD! I don't know if any other Marque that can generate so much animosity from a design of one of their cars because we expect so much more, or at least a "perfect" four door design in this case. Upon review of the above photos I can imagine another car manufacturer designing it. It does not Scream Porsche and I feel that is what we want from this company. I do love the lines and how the car above looks. And if it has the same dimensions as the Panamera I would be signing up to buy one, along with the 2010 911 TT! Call me crazy. Any of the cars above but the second car in Troy Barnes post is the one I like the most. Though if it didn't say Porsche on it, and if I knew it wasn't a PhotoShop job, there isn't any redeeming qualities that would point to Porsche heritage!
