Default 4.0 T oil use

How's your Turbo oil consumption? Wife was using the Pan and told me it was asking for 2qts. 33k on this car with no history of issues since purchased with 7500. What's your experience with consumption and did you ever figure out where it was going

I got the same message recently after a 5 hour road trip. Message said to add 2 liters. I added it and checked the oil level on the dash and it was perfect. 2018 4.0 with 30K miles. Btw, the owner's manual accessed from the infotainment screen says to use C40 oil whereas the actual owner's manual says to use A40 oil. I used Mobil 1 0w40 A40 oil. I'm pretty sure the C40 oil is for cars with particulate filters.

Audi and Porsche engines consume oil, especially with lots of short trips.

I found that if I drive a lot and long trips, my oil consumption is 1/3 vs if I only take short trips (3-5 miles).

Rule of thump, check your oil consumption every 5k miles and keep a couple of quarts in the garage.

Guilty of the shorter trips for sure. I will keep an eye on it this time

Mine has never used oil. 2018 Turbo Sport Turismo with stage 2 tune. I only use Liqui Moly and change every 5k miles.

Liqui Moly is the best and the only oil that should be used IMO.

I've never had a vehicle made in Japan that used any oil and I've never had a Porsche (and I have had many) that didn't use some oil.

Note, Porsche manual states 1.5l per 1000miles is acceptable. I believe that is too much. I fill about 1/2 quart every 5k miles or about one fill between oil changes.

you can Google Rennlist or Audi forum and you will find their engines consume more than other engines.
