Default Oil leak common? GTS

2022 GTS
20k miles
realized a small puddle as I pulled out. Definitely oil and seemed fresh. I don’t see any very wet areas under the car but anything I should tell the dealership? New to the Porsche brand.

here’s some pics!

Need to find where it is coming from, or take it to the dealer.

Did you have a recent oil change done?

The underbody cladding should removed for a better look before the speculation starts. Take it to the dealer.

It's under warranty. Get it fixed now before it becomes a bigger problem.

If its leaking through its a much bigger oil leak than you think. The under engine cladding has a pretty good absorb felt pad built in. It takes quite a bit of oil to soak that to get your garage floor.

My best guess is its coming from either the oil filter housing or one of the oil lines running in the V of the engine, could be an oil cooler or one of the lines. These seem to be the most common places for leaks on this engine.

Get it to the dealer since its still under warranty. None of the parts are expensive but labor is what gets you on these oil leak repairs especially if its one of the examples above if your out of warranty.

I know this was forever ago, but what was the outcome? Mine has the same oil spot after sitting in my garage over the last few days during freezing weather. We dont get much cold weather like this in Houston. Zero problems before this so maybe the cold snap made an o ring shrink? Going to call the dealer tomorrow. Weird because it was just there last week for a clunk noise and they supposedly did a thorough inspection.

Sorry this is happening to you. It could just be the cold but absolutely recommend getting it checked out if you're under warranty.

My dealer said it was old residue that may have came off from the undershield. They could not find any signs of leaks or anything. Even showed me a video of the underbody and I also couldn't see leaks. Ever since, I've had no problems. Hence, why perhaps the cold is just causing some "melting" from cold/snow from your underbody... at least that's what happened to me. Good luck and let us know if you're scenario is any different.

I'm under CPO so it was towed to the dealer this morning. My car is garaged so no snow or ice got in it, just cold weather.

Definitely curious what the dealer finds out. My car does consume oil - which dealer confirmed as "per design".

Let us know what tbey find out and hope nothing crazy, but CPO is needed on these cars.

My car has been consuming oil too over the past year I've owned it, but the manual says this is normal. If it was leaking the whole time I don't see how the dealer could have missed it. They dropped the front subframe for an engine mount last year, and then it was just there two weeks ago for a noise they said was normal.

My SA just called. It was the oil filter housing. He also said my water pump is leaking slightly. I have been smelling coolant just barely for a while now but never did see the level drop. I am guessing the oil housing gasket shrunk up from the cold and either started leaking or went from a weep to a real leak.
