Default Battery Maintainer during PIWIS coding

I have a 971 hybrid and need a battery maintainer while I run some coding on the vehicle. The Porsche charge-o-mat is not compatible with a hybrid. I take it the limitation would be the same for any other maintainer? Does anyone have any ideas on options for this?

You'll want something that can supply 90A of current at a fixed voltage between 13.5-14.5V

Personally, I went with the
Schumacher INC100 Schumacher INC100

Agree with @Chimuel, need steady “clean” power. Can make your own unit too. Here’s my DIY post from a few years ago outlining how to do this using a computer server power supply unit. Hope this helps.

I use a power source. Battery charger may work but also may not work — most are not steady power sources. A few higher end ones have that feature but probably not at the amperage you want. I have an MST 80+ but there are others of you google 12v power supply for car programming.

Gee, if only there was a huge 17.kW battery connected to your car battery to keep it charged

Seriously, with the ignition on, you can code all day with the EV running the car. At least it works for me.

When doing auto coding I ran into issues without one (battery voltage dipped and could not complete coding of all modules). When doing smaller or non auto coding I had no issue.

Fair enough, I shouldn't have said "code all day long" as I had it running for hours but very little hard stuff going on. Sorry for the bad info, but I haven't run into that.

I've buying 220V/12V 480W power on Aliexpress and it's very good for piwis. example HERE
With the potentiometer at left of wiring it's possible have 13.5V. When i connect it on my car i've 13V on the dashboard.
