Default Hello, new owner here

Hello everybody, I just purchased a 2018 panamera 4. Im brand new to Porsche and just trying to get acquainted to Porsche vehicles. Im a Hyundai/Genesis technician so I’m looking to do most of the work myself. One of the questions I have is do these cars have a PCV system? I tried looking online for the part but all I see is catch cans. I’ve haven’t pull the top engine cover off yet.

On the prior generation there is a device mounted to the valve cover that handles the crankcase vapor extraction and piping sends it to the intake plenum. I would expect the 971 generation to be similar. Yeah, the top of the engine is now covered for whatever reason.

Here's the engine guide. Has iron sleeves (no bore scoring at least).

Some concern about rocker arm needle bearings.

We have a 2019 Base (2WD) with 11K miles after 3 years ownership.

Glad to have you on board.

Make sure it is Porsche C20 or C30, and not Porsche A040 spec (used in V8s and earlier Flat 6 engines like our 2006 997). On the internet, there are videos of removing the intake manifolds of each head once the engine is lifted out of the car (Audi sedans) for servicing, and the intake valves are starting to load up. The C20 and C30 spec oils are emission specific to the Audi engine. We had a 2009 cayenne base (VR-6) and ran it with C30 spec (ESP Mobil 1 5W-30) to 172k miles, and sold it 2 months ago in perfect no oil use condition. Changed it every 5K miles though.

On page 111 of the owner's manual, you can see what the V6 3.0 Turbo uses (C20).

There is a dipstick tube on the V6 audi engines (yellow line in picture below), just no dipstick. The tube is plugged. I have seen people pump out oil through the dipstick tube during oil change. I am going to try that next time. Save a lot of time removing the bottom cover.and remove drain plug.
