Hi all,

has anyone managed to get the gracenote images to work?
in my previous 911 with the PCM 4, the media image used to change from the station icon to the album cover when a song came on etc. but the Panamera just shows the station icon and it never changes.

 

Looks like no knows, Porsche seem clueless too lol

 

What year/model of Panamera. That is important info.

I think you need an active Porsche Connect subscription for it to work. Also the early 971s had an update that was not accepted by the early cars and wiped out some of the OTA features. You can get them back but need one of the guys here on the forum to login to your car via a laptop and apply the update. Dealers for the most part appear unable/unwilling to apply this update.

Its a 2019 / 2020 971 Panamera Turbos E-Hybrid. I have the Porsche connect etc, can see the car through iPhone app etc.

 

97AFH1/2020 is whats shown on the car info

 

Hmm. The update issues were on the 2017-early 2018 cars before Porsche changed the hardware to the next version. @Chimuel is pretty knowledgeable on this, possibly you can get him to chime in.

 

Yeah any help would be good. Current version is I have is below. If its not the latest, I wounder if connecting to the house wifi for a while would help, rather then the 4G sim card I am using?

 

I think the problems I am referencing only affected the 054 hardware version. I think it went to 055 in mid-2018. Sorry.

Should be. But at least in the USA Porsche is not very supportive of the cars past a couple of years it seems.

 

I would have thought Gracenote would cover all their cars so should be an easy update? But who knows. Wish there was a way you could push it through
