971 Panamera Transmission Fault
#32
I had the no reverse error message 3 times one morning in my 971 Turbo. Each time it goes away after a restart of the engine. Dealer replaced a module in the PDK. When they tried to reformat the tranny it failed to format 3 times. New warranty tranny is on the way. I dumped my 970 GTS after a tranny failure. This is not a good trend.

Hi all,
My Sport Turismo now has 45k miles and recently got its 40k service done (yay!). However, I am now getting more and more fault errors for the transmission where it says the reverse gear is not available. The car will then not shift out of whatever gear it was in prior to the message. I've fixed it before by shutting the car off, opening the driver's door, and restarting the vehicle. Are there any other 971 owners who have been experiencing similar issues? If so, how did you go about diagnosing it with your dealer?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
DC

I haven't had this issue since it went back to the dealer a year ago. They ended up replacing the PDK fluid and resetting the computer. Smooth sailing since, and my car usually sits multiple weeks/months at a time.
