Wow, 125shifter, that's one beautiful car. Love the Adventurine Green. If only we could all keep our cars that clean after it leaves the dealership.

Question for SS22 - you mentioned you were notified of some changes by your dealer. I have not heard anything from my dealer (I think it's the same dealer?) for several weeks. My V250 is 10/29/21 and my V300 is 11/12. Did the dealer email you with the changes? Thanks.

@orca15, yea, at this point, I’m just hoping my car arrives before the new year (especially so I don’t lose the tax credit). If it comes any earlier though, I’d be thrilled!

@125shifter, congrats! That is a beautiful combo with the color and wheels. Post a photo with the car out in the sun if you can. I’m curious how the aventurine green looks in the sun.

@Tosa5, I asked them for an update which you could do too to see if your dates changed at all. It seems that nothing really happens until the fixed date actually occurs.

125shifter - Beautiful! You obviously made her very happy! I'll be interested to hear about your first impressions, especially on the rear wheel steering.

Tosa5 - I had to ask them too. Ask for your current status as well. I am on V220 which I think means the build has frozen and been accepted for production.

I haven’t driven it hard enough to really know how the power or handling is at the limit but so far I’m really impressed. I got a chance to drive a base Panamera at the track last weekend and was underwhelmed by the power but on the street and only reving to 3000 or so the power seems more than adequate.

The air suspension seems stiffer than what I remember in the few cars I test drove. Not too stiff but stiffer.

The throttle pedal seems stiffer too. I probably wouldn’t have noticed it if my wife hadn’t commented on it.

A happy surprise is the muffler. The sport exhaust wasn’t available on the base (I swear it was available a week before I ordered!) but I wanted something better than the base oval mufflers so I ordered the sport tips. I looked inside them to make sure they were real dual pipes and not a fake second pipe like you see on some cars and to my surprise not only are they both real but one pipe on each side has a butterfly valve to open and close presumably with engine rpm.

I haven’t driven it enough to give an impression of the rear steering but I was behind my wife when she made a u-turn and I was impressed with how easily it made the tight turn.

SS22 - I just got an updated schedule from the dealer, and today is the 'V250' fixed date. The 'Planned Date' column on each step pushed out a week vs. the schedule I got over a month ago, but the 'Expected Date' column pulled in a week, so now there is a two week gap between those two columns on each step. The final step hasn't changed, with the V900 'Dealer Inventory' showing 1/7/22, which is the same as the original schedule.

Good sign that your expected dates moved up a week and your delivery date hasn’t hit any more delays. The SM told me that most often, Porsche’s 3-week estimate at Emden is an overestimate and the shipping process moves faster than the schedule has us believe. But of course, it’s harder to predict that with the current state of supply chain and shipping issues. You may get lucky and be able to get your car a bit early and make the cut for the tax credit!

My V250 is a month after yours - 11/19 - but my Dealer V900 is only two weeks later - 1/21/22. So I guess I will get more slip soon. Still, the fairly small changes we are both seeing make me much more comfortable that we won't get a two month slip or something.

My dealer agreed to swap me to the Atlanta PEC after the Euro Delivery got cancelled, so that will perturb the schedule somewhat.

Default Atlanta PEC

I think the PEC will be an amazing experience. In January of 2020 I booked two driving sessions at the LA PEC for the same afternoon - a 911 S and a Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid. But then COVID shut down the PEC , which was disappointing. Looking forward to hearing about your PEC session.

Apparently mine went into production (V260) last Monday 10/18 (ahead of the 10/22 expected date shown by the tracker a week ago). But now all the other expected dates are pushed back 2-3 weeks (delivery pushed 2 weeks to 1/7/22). Typically, production shouldn’t take longer than a week from what I’ve seen so I really hope V300 hits any day and car can be off to Emden. I’d hate to lose the tax credit if the car doesn’t arrive before January.

When you say “lose the tax credit” do you just mean “for 2021” and you will get it (like me) in 2022, or is there something I don’t know about? I mean, it sucks having to wait a year but in the end you could reduce withholding in early 22 and get that money in your pocket sooner if you wanted. I know the 30% tax credit for the charging equipment ends 12/31/21 but I thought the $7500 car credit will still be there.

You make a good point. I suppose it’s possible that the current EV tax credit scheme continues into 2022. But that’s looking to be highly unlikely given Congress seems poised to pass some sort of infrastructure bill that includes a new EV tax credit scheme to be effective January 1. The Senate and House versions of the bill both have a cap on the price of eligible cars (one is $55,000 for sedans and the other is $80,000…) and one even has an income limit ($400k single filers and $800k for married joint filers). If nothing passes by the end of the year, then we would still be safe but Biden and Democrats seem adamant that they wanna pass something by the end of the year.

I had no idea about these changes. Guess I have to keep my fingers crossed for Congressional inaction for a few months.

I’m having one set of fingers crossed on one hand hoping my car arrives before January and the other set of fingers on my other hand hoping nothing changes to the EV tax credit

I really don’t understand why production would take almost 4 weeks though since my car started production on 10/18. It seems like cars don’t start the production phase if the main parts/chips aren’t ready so I really hope the expected dates move up.
