I will try drying the amp, i got too it today and it’s definitely been wet, I also had a thought that maybe the fiber optic terminals need a clean!?

I will change the hvac motor controller just because and I’m sure I will need a new interface for the back seat, I have a ‘16 base model Panamera here that I’m also working on so I may see if they are compatible and try the unit from the newer one for the purpose of testing, I wanted to do the same with the amp but the ‘11 has burmuster and the ‘16 does not, they don’t directly swap!

I have the piwis 3 thanks to your help and thread!!

I think I got fairly lucky but we’re not there yet haha

thank you for your time

motors can be removed sprayed with WD 40 then they should be fine. You’re fortunate recline works as those motors are buried in the seat. Sounds like water levels weren’t too bad in that car. Window motors are low cost and easy to replace. Just make sure you follow the liner removal instructions. They don’t have snaps, they lift up after you remove the three screws. The trim pets out with a plastic trim tool. Rear trim has one screw if I remember correctly. Seats come out easily if you can move them forward and back. That motor is harder to get at from underneath. Once seat is out motors are easy to remove and lube up. Remember to disconnect battery for one min prior to disconnecting the main seat connector due to the airbag.

that’s the perfect weekend project, yeah the water can’t have been too high, there is no evidence that the blower motor was submerged, just a little surface corrosion from the moisture being in the atmosphere in there.

do you happen to know if there is a way to disable the alarm system with the piwis, I have an issue in that it keeps activating each time you open the doors, and sometimes randomly, and I haven’t discovered the cause yet. the piwis has surprisingly little information about the alarm that I can find.

thank you

so the alarm is a function of all the door modules. Each door sends a safe or locked message to the driver’s door. Which ever door is causing the alarm to go has a problem. Either the door lock module is gone( I replaced two) or the door module is not sending the signal to the front door. The PIWIS will tell you the state of each door. So if the door is unlocked and you can access the module then the door lock is gone. It’s a vw part but a bit more of a pain to replace since you have to remove the inner door panel. I only had to replace two, but I replaced all the door modules

Okay, I’m getting a slightly better understand because of all your help but I’m not there yet.

I went into the piwis and found what I think are the pages your referring too, I believe it says something like, door secured and door locked when I selected to look at the actual data for both but they all say no to each of those questions all the time.

I also used the car some more to gather more information and found some unusual behavior, the interior light comes on now and again but the dash does not show an open door, if I open the door and close it the dash shows door open then closed and the light goes off.

the alarm triggers periodically as you drive but doesn’t seem to coincide with the interior light but last night I was driving home and noticed that the trunk light was on, the alarm was doing it’s usual then suddenly the trunk light when off and the alarm didn’t trigger again

all the doors and the trunk trigger the alarm, like it’s never disarmed.

Any ideas

update, I ordered all 4 door modules today, hopefully that resolves the issue because I’m not totally sure what’s causing it.

The PIWIS way to resolve your issues is to find all the faults and try to eliminate them. The faults will help you determine what’s not working. I did have to replace all four of my door modules and two door locks
pm me and we can work out a time where I can walk you through it
