What part of the country and of course how did it do in the snow? Inquiring minds want to know!

I have to admit. Coming from a rear wheel drive BMW, I never thought I could appreciate an 4-wheel drive. I have to admit I was wrong. This car gets up anything with ease. Well impressed...

Also came from BMW's, slightest incline and slightest layer of snow, slithered about all over the place. Shocking. My 640d would be stuck in the snow in your pic.

I haven’t been out yet after this weekend’s snow delivery. I’m thinking it’s time to roll out the Q5. After thanksgiving I had to make an unexpected trip out to Ohio that could not be accomplished with airline schedules and ended up driving. On the way out and return I got caught in lake effect snow and got a fair amount of snow driving. The nose tends to ice up real fast, the down side of led lighting. The forward radar, camera and thermal imaging all tend to fade fast as well once the snow starts sticking to the car. But no real detriment as that’s about the time you need to be on manual pilot. Snow handling is pretty good for a big car with fat tires, but not as good as my Macan was with winter scorpions, or my wife’s old A6. And not even close to the Silverado 2500 that was my old work daily driver.

I don't have any pics in the snow, but I've driven mine plenty of times to the ski resorts here in Colorado. It's been great in even with the stock Pirelli all seasons. The low center of gravity and long wheel base makes it perfect. Plus the adjustable suspension for the occasional deep stuff.

LoL, I sorta jumped out of my car (as you can see) but found these tracks amusing. Wasn't planned at all but glad you appreciated the humor.
Btw, ski rack is the SeaSucker if anyone is wondering. Haven't been able to test on the highway, unfortunately (and fortunately) all trips to the slopes have been with full family in tow (5).
