Default Removing engine cover

Does anyone have any guidance on removing the engine cover? It's usually pretty easy, but seems a little bit more complex on the Panamera and I haven't seen anything in the manual. This is for the 971 Panamera's.

I have only removed the front section. (prob you have sussed that bit as its fairly straight forward)
Theres a couple of clips that you need to flick up the middle bit, then pull them up and out then that part will just lift off.
Not sure of the rest.

I haven't tried yet - but isn't there a strut brace bar over the engine cover? How does that come off - or can I lift the engine cover without removing it?

Sorry, 2.9T - it's a 2017 Panny 4S. Looks like this:

ahhh, you've got the big **** cover!!
My guess is that they'll use those round ball pins to attach that cover, especially if there are no other apparent bolts, etc.

I've had a look and definitely you need to remove the brace over the top of it.
The covers one piece and there looks to be no way you could feed it out under the brace.
Fortunately the bolts have hex head as well as Torx as you would do well to get a torx socket in without removing the other strut next to it.
Seems senseless that the covers not in two pieces, but removing the strut seems straight forward.

Yes, much more crowded and busy then my 3.6 V6 - which looks relatively spacious compared to that!

NJS_04_996,
Did you install in 971 or older? I have it but haven;t had time to install it yet. Also does anyone know if there is a certain torque you need to tighten the cross bar when reinstalling?

Thanks,
