Not a factory test. For comparison, Sport Auto did 7:18 with the .2GT3 vs 7:12 Factory.

With the release of this video, I quietly hope Chevy will release their official times for the C7Z.
You may recall that Porsche and Sport Auto had both done their tests the same day.

You know what would be really interesting, not just for the C7, but for any car (GT2 included, as well as the Performante, etc.)
Do 2 laps, and average the times.
I would suggest even 3, but not sure how many cars can actually do more than 2 laps on the 'Ring without running out of gas.

Does the corvette have auto blip on downshifts? It's interesting to see with this car the driver mainly uses 3rd gear. He definitely shifts way more when driving the GT4, and people said that car had long gears.

Notice he also 'misses' the 2 to 3 upshift a couple of times; (happens to many owners in the M7 version), which obviously cost him some time.
One of the factory drivers probably could have pulled off a 7:10 with the M7, and perhaps even quicker with the A8 version IF it could be kept cool enough for one lap.
As to why GM never released a time; it's an enigma.
