I will get a regular gt350 and add back seats.
The regular GT350 already has back seats. The GT350R does not.

My hope is they will make a less "special" version for the 991.2 series, something in higher production numbers. but there is pretty firm confirmation that there are 600 cars.. like the 4.0 before it.
Bit of lost in translation, I meant the gt350R. Not the 911R. I have already given up my spot for the 911R.

I plan on beating the hell out of my GT350 at the track. I tried to get an R but was too late in the game for a reasonable ADM. I would still track the hell out of a GT350R if I had one - that is what they are for and not garage queens. I plan on switching this one out in the future for an R.

If anyone is looking a R, here is one. http://www.motorcarsofgeorgia.com/us...f89bcd9e84.htm

It may have a bit of a dealer markup though

That might be the one that sold for $115k + $10% at Mecum auction last week. My buddy who attended the auction says it looks just like it.

Default Question for those currently tracking..

Just wondering if any owners of the GT350 or R, could chime in with their experience so far.. any issues at all with these being thrown around on a circuit?

Much thx,

No issues really. Nothing major at least on my end. So far I have done an autox and two hpde's- Homestead and Sebring. One small gripe is the conservative nannies while in Sport mode... in Sebring at Turn 1 but mostly at Turn 3, the stabilitrak would engage and kick me back into Normal mode. Then I'd have to toggle it back to Sport mode with a flick of the switch on the steering wheel. Other than that no complaints. Just fun as hell lap after lap.

Is it possible to turn all nannies off?

Yes the Shelby has a more aggressive Track Mode - this one lets you have some fun and rip around some turns with no intrusive nannies.
