GT350

Why did you go tech package over track package? Just curious. I wish ford would offer the big infotainment on the base GT350 with track package but they don't. You're stuck with this little kmart radio. The only way to do get the screen and track option is to deck out an R model but then no backseats which I want for extra peeps.
If you can get your hands on R you can add back seat.
That's what I was trying, but my Ford dealer is way to small to get R

The dealership took delivery of mine a couple of days ago. It should be at my front door on Tuesday of next week. I have Road Atlanta scheduled for Feb. 27-28 and will be bringing the GT3, GT3RS, and the GT350. I must say...it will be a very fun weekend between these three cars.
I had to go out and buy another trailer just so I can haul 2 P cars...it's a disease!!

Disagree. The R became less desirable for me based on other available options. Look up the Track Option on the GT350. That's the spec to get (and most cars ordered by the dealer were not configured with it - almost all went with the Technology Package).

I totally stumbled on this thread in my inability to sleep here. I hadn't thought about the GT350 in sometime. I might go and look at one local that has the tech package just to see if I would ever consider the car; I have been considering buying myself a "fun" daily driver.
I found one that is dealer ordered in Falls Church here in NoVA just outside DC with the track package. I will call and see what they are asking over MSRP and will report back.

Went and looked at the one with the tech package; seems to be the only one on a lot around here including all of Maryland and all the way down to Richmond. They want 20k over.
Car does look badass. I can see just waiting it out and building what you want.

I did I bought it. They gave it performance car of the year - they said it was leagues better than the other vehicles they tested. I figured it would be good but not this good. It's INSANE. I'm sort of at a loss of words it does too many things just too well - sensory overload. I hit 380 miles today and did my first high rpm shift - it was outrageous - that sound. Visually it's stunning.
The interior is perfect. This is exactly the alcantara steering wheel i've always wanted. The Recaros are beautiful. The shifter is brilliant - feels just right and the gear **** is real nice looking with this cool red ring around the top portion - nice touch.
I'd say the one part that surprised me the most is you can turn it all off! Put the windows up, switch the exhaust to quiet (normal mode), set the dampers to comfort and the steering to street mode and it is SILENT. I have zero road noise. Not even my wife's Jag was ever this quiet. Granted i'm daily driving a noisy 997 everyday - but still it's impressive. With that you could daily drive it if you wanted - though gas mileage is horrible (who cares) and the radio sucks (good).
Oh and the BRAKES. I'm daily driving Porsche carbon ceramics and they have nothing on the Shelby stopping power - I nearly threw myself through the windshield the first couple times I applied pressure!
So after spending the last 14 months test driving potential cars including the 997.2 Turbo PDK, 997.2 GTS PDK, 997 Turbo (6Speed), Ferrari 360 Modena (6Speed) and the new Corvette Stingray Z51 - nothing comes close - i'm so glad I waited on the GT350.
I was lucky and got an MSRP deal built to spec 6 months ago - but honestly it's worth a 5k-10k ADM if you can can't find a cheaper deal and want the car this year. It's going to be real competitive - my dealer did mention they have had a flood of offers from other dealers offering 9k+ over MSRP.
Worth every penny.

Para, great write up and review! My wife really liked the car which is extremely rare, but she wants me to buy it in black. The one we saw was yellow with a black racing stripe. I think the trouble is going to be finding anything with the track package as the option without ordering it yourself.
Your comment that in normal mode you can DD it is helpful; I drive 395 (after traffic) into my office to DC. I can see 5 or 10 like you say, based on the performance, but the 20k the dealership I went to today just seemed silly.
TRAKCAR, if you see one in the wild at Sebring, try and get us some lap times.
