For all of you who don't DD their GT3s, time to get rid of those silly little VW GTIs
And get yourself either a Subaru BRZ or Scion FRS.
I know this video is on the older side for the innernet, but I drank the koolaid while looking for a new car for my business,Scion C 3.
Sorry, on me mobile so I'm just going to post the url...

One of the only problems are, are the rear wheels are too thin reaching only 7". I imagined they did that so you could do a complete tire rotation a few times.
That engine sits so low in the chasis and the interior, for me, did it for me. And you can get a stick too. The auto you guessed it has the flippy flappy paddles. The manual comes in at 2706 pounds imperial. Which is just plain silly.
Word from the grapevine is when they want to gussy it up after a few year Subaru is either going to put a turbo or super charger. Which you can already buy and get installed which increases power anywhere from 40 to 100+. Personally just gimme the 300 because that's what the car deserves with atleast 8.5 rear tires at that power.
By the way Subaru is building all the cars but Scion is out selling them 2:1, how'ed you like 'em apples?

???? Here too.
But, I sure do love the BRZ/FRS. And the reasons Scion outsells the Subaru is due to an allotment requirement by Toyota, which spearheaded the whole development of this car.
I digress. Back to my initial impression of this post:

I dont know much about the two other then they are not a whole lot of money and the young generation like them.
I saw one with 993GT2 style fender flares the other day and thought it was a little ricey but great for the kids I suppose?
dont get me wrong, I love that it is rwd, light wieght and fun to drive but where the hell was it in the mid 1990's when I would have cared for one? It is 2013….

Fair enough comments. Stiill, having owned maybe 10 Subarus, I find the BRZ and interesting option. I might buy one, if there are ever actually for sale. Have stopped by the Subaru dealer about 5 times over the past year. Never a BRZ on the lot. Last time, he told me to go over to Scion!

How much scotch involved in this post? :-) I get the point, though. I think they are nice cars and its about time this generation of younger gear-heads gets a great platform to wrench on and mod. They got a lot of things good on this (the look, engine, manual tranny, light, rwd, etc) They DO need MOREPOWER though. Not sure if I'd own one personally as I'd rather spend the extra $ and pickup a used cayman or something of the sort. Here is SoCal they definitely are the new car of choice for the mid-20s scene. You see a LOT of the brz/frs twins here.
I own a BRZ. It's a perfect daily driver for me. Fun to drive, manual, good gas mileage, good looking, and cheap. It's also fun on track too as long as you're not hung up on lap times and getting passes. There's not much point in driving a spyder or gt3 through traffic, so I'm saving those cars for the track and weekends.
doesnt the Scion come w/ free maintenance ?
