I certainly like it better than the Camaro.
Overall it is pretty sharp for its price level.
I also think that the Challenger is the most true to its heritage original car. I saw some 1970s Challengers last week at the Houston Autorama. The darn things were NICE . No telling how much they had in them though. Of course they were 2 Ford GTs there too. Growl !!
I am also glad that I bought the Boss 302 last year now too. Even in Green. I kinda like Green more now.
The dealer offered me full price back on the Boss to trade to a new dealer price Shelby GT500 Mustang. But I like the Boss. And if I want the Shelby-ish car, I want the Cobra.
My understanding of the new car is Ford is back in " go global " mode with the Mustang. Somewhat like they did with the Fox body Mustangs. These new Mustangs are supposed to have more of a "international appeal ". Ok. I think what that means is that they want to sell thousands and hundreds of thousands of them to the Chinese .

My son has Boss a 302 and that thing is a blast to drive, love the side pipes (which it came with, just plugged)... he's basically turned it into a Laguna Seca with all Ford racing suspension pieces. On smooth Arizona roads you don't really notice the solid rear end. Lots of bang for the buck.
New looks good to me, and as said above it beats the hell out of the Camaro.

I'm not a Mustang guy, but I saw some profile shots of the new model that looked pretty sharp. Bigger question is how well it will drive, though. I know there's plenty of cheap mods for power, but in day-to-day driving I just wasn't very excited by the last one I drove.
But then, I am a spoiled and entitled S.O.B.

As a side note, i hope Chrysler and GM have the gauntlet thrown at their feet by this car, the challenger and the camaro are porky. A pony car arms race for a lighter, nimbler, high mpg, high performance coupe can only be a good thing.

It looks good enough for me, the weight loss is the #1 aspect that gets me excited about it.
Sadly, I fear the fully decked out Shelby version will once again be on par with a Sherman Tank.

I think it looks great. I've always been a fan of the Mustang although there were a few versions in the 70's that really lacked visual and performance appeal.
The fact that this is lighter is a huge plus. Finally car companies are realizing how much weight impacts the cars handling characteristics.

I hate my Ford.
The '65 was a small car. I guess that I have gotten use to small cars over the years. The 2007 Mustang is HUGE compared to any of the other cars I own
But what am I supposed to do with it?
The newest Mustang looks nicer than a lot of previous versions. Kudos to Ford if the 2015 Mustang is smaller.

The last Mustang was retro, and this is just another iteration of retro. Ford is in a dead end, design wise, and this is not leading anywhere.
As long as people remember the glorious history of the early gen Mustangs, there will be an audience. For others, this is just an overly busy design that makes no sense in modern times - neither on the exterior nor the interior.
This is not a consistent evolution like the 911. It's just trying hard to hold on to the past and ride off into the future at the same time.
