The estimated base price is $65K. The lap time is not as impressive as it seems since the car comes standard with DOT R Compound tires - Trofeo R.
"Milfords Nürburgring-like high-speed esses pass beneath us with nary a wiggle or twitch from the chassis. (Check out the Z/28s 7-minute and 37-second run on the real Nürburgring here.) Much of the credit goes to the 305/30-ZR 19-inch Pirelli Trofeo R tires that reside at each corner. Wheel size is staggered slightly19 x 11-inch front, 19 x 11.5-inch rearto improve rear tire handling at the limit. Chevrolet tells us going with the 19-inch tire-and-wheel package saves 48 pounds over a 20-inch setup, and lowers the center of gravity by 1.29 inches".

Chevy specifically extends the warranty to cover track use, unlike Porsche. But like the GT3, they have added Pankl Ti conrods and true dry sump:

If they could just shrink it down to 7/8 size and weight, it would be fantastic...

What is the 991 2S time on DOT R Compound tires - Trofeo R? This is a long track, so I bet the tires would cut at least a few seconds of the stock time. How much?

Hey, it is what it is. They don't quote if they don't have proof for everyone. I think they lost a lot of time on the back quarter of the track with the inclement conditions. They said they were going to retry later for a better time.

Holy Crap! Z/28 has an MSRP of $75k. That is a bad joke...
This is almost 50% more than a base C7 Vette and $21,500 more than a track-capable one with Z51 package. I originally expected something around $50k. I have zero interest in any current Camaro at this price point.

75k is steep. I don't see how they can sell it against the new Z06 unless the Z is 85-90k. I like the car, but not that much. 7:31 is FAST for a pony though.
Yeah, but didn't you hear 20's are the new 18's and offer a performance advantage.
