In the interest of not starting anymore drama, I pose a question to which an answer can not be wrong.

all things being equal... my choice I think would be a Saleen s7

wow. E types are cool for sure. Especially the early 70's. rare to find someone so content with his possessions.

A 928 GTS - but I already have it

I think you will find a lot of us here are fairly content with what we have... content enough to not want anything else anyway - thats why we are here...

Not that we don't have other cars too - but this what I chose to drive for fun.

I like the early 70's (70 and 71) because they are the latest of the six-cylinder "E" Types but some of the most unloved because they have all the effects of federalization. (two carburetors as opposed to three, dual circuit braking system with booster, headrests, rocker switches as opposed to toggle, different and larger taillamps, etc)

...but none of all that matters to me because I still see the same beautiful car when I look at it. It's also very easy to find an original example for an affordable price in the E world.

that is pretty cool I guess. I am happy with what I have achieved in life. I just always feel like there is something better out there. I test drove a 348 tb the other day. It wasnt nearly what I thought it would be. Looks very cool, but just not a great performer for the price. I am hoping to get my hands on an s7 one day. 200k for a car is just hard for me to swallow.

If I had to buy a Porsche it would be a 959 or the 918. Beyond that, I just dont see a model holding up to the other super cars. there was supposed to be a model coming out between the 911 and 918 to compare to the 455 ferrari. I think money troubles kept it off the road. For what its worth, Porsche committed one of the absolute worst take over attempts in business history. That is of course why VW owns them now.
