General RL Opinions on Earlier Dodge Vipers

I got the so-called creampuff model (2000) it didn't have the ABS or the forged internals & a lil' milder cam. But, I won't be racing it so I wasn't really worried about those things, the MAIN reason I got the 2000 model was because it was the ONLY year they made the Steel Gray color & I didn't even consider looking at anything after the 02's for the simple reason, to me they look Too Much like the Vettes & like someone else said you see a Vette on every other corner. But, it's a blast to drive, but it is also Very Dangerous especially if you don't respect it's power. Lots & Lots of Torque! But, you also can't compare it to a Porsche (their like night & day) just depends on what you want. I forgot to mention, drive one BEFORE you buy one because they're definitely not for everyone! jmo

I saw the title in the header and thought someone must have gotten one. Sure enough. Congrats on that great car.
As much as I like them I think I am hooked on the Porsches. Next on my list has to be a 930 and with any luck I will have both the 951 and the 930. Now if a PearlEssence 1994 Turbo Carrera comes up I will ditch all mine to try to get it.
Congrats again on the new Viper.

Just thought I would throw up a pic of a gen II motor (mine), I always thought these just looked so cool (doesn't look like any motor I had ever seen before) but its only 450hp. A lot slower & different looking than the gen III, IV, & soon to be V (monster). jmo
